Volumizing Silk Dry Shampoo
A lightweight, oil-absorbing dry shampoo designed to refresh the scalp while adding lift and airy volume. This talc-free powder blend delivers a smooth, soft finish without heaviness. Ideal for fine to medium hair types.
Ingredients
- (All measurements are by weight)
- 7.0 oz Arrowroot Powder
- 3.5 oz Tapioca Starch
- 2.5 oz Kaolin Clay
- 1.5 oz Colloidal Oatmeal
- 1.2 oz Cosmetic Silica Microspheres
- 0.2 oz Essential Oil or Fragrance Oil
- 0.1 oz Cosmetic Grade Mica (optional, tone adjustment)
Instructions
- Sift all powders individually to remove clumps.
- Combine arrowroot, tapioca starch, kaolin clay, and colloidal oatmeal in a mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly.
- Gently fold in cosmetic silica microspheres, mixing slowly to avoid airborne dust.
- Blend mica (if using) into a small portion first, then incorporate fully.
- Add essential oil or fragrance dropwise while whisking continuously to prevent clumping.
- Sift once more and transfer to an airtight shaker or pump bottle.
- Preservation: Not required (anhydrous formula).
- Shelf Life: 12–24 months when stored dry.
- Performance Feature: Silica enhances oil absorption and adds lightweight volume.
