Lightweight Leave-In Conditioner
A lightweight leave-in conditioner designed to detangle, smooth, and enhance shine without weighing hair down. This BTMS-25 and panthenol formula provides soft slip and light conditioning for daily use. Ideal for fine to normal hair types.
Ingredients
- (All measurements are by weight)
- 12.4 oz Distilled Water
- 1.2 oz BTMS 25
- 0.4 oz Cetyl Alcohol
- 0.6 oz Clear Jojoba Oil (or Meadowfoam Seed Oil)
- 0.6 oz Vegetable Glycerin
- 0.5 oz DL Panthenol Powder
- 0.16 oz Liquid Germall Plus
- 0.08 oz Fragrance Oil
- 0.06 oz Polysorbate 20 (helps solubilize fragrance)
- Citric Acid Solution (10%) – as needed to adjust pH
Instructions
- Combine distilled water and glycerin in a heat-safe container. Heat to 170°F.
- In a separate container, combine BTMS 25, cetyl alcohol, and jojoba oil. Heat to 170°F until fully melted.
- Slowly pour the oil phase into the water phase while stick blending for 1–2 minutes until emulsified.
- Allow mixture to cool to 120°F. Add DL Panthenol and mix thoroughly.
- Below 110°F, combine fragrance with Polysorbate 20, then add to batch along with preservative.
- Adjust pH to 4.5–5.0 using small amounts of 10% citric acid solution.
- Bottle in spray or pump container once fully cooled.
- Target pH: 4.5–5.0
