Clarifying Clay Dry Shampoo
A talc-free dry shampoo powder designed to absorb excess oil while gently refreshing the scalp. This clay-forward formula helps rebalance oily roots and adds soft texture without heaviness. Ideal for normal to oily hair types.
Ingredients
- (All measurements are by weight)
- 7.0 oz White Kaolin Clay Powder USP/NF
- 3.5 oz Bentonite Clay Powder
- 3.0 oz Arrowroot Powder (not stocked – optional but recommended for softness)
- 1.5 oz Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
- 0.5 oz Dendritic Salt
- 0.3 oz Zinc Oxide Powder
- 0.2 oz Essential Oil or Fragrance Oil
Instructions
- Sift kaolin clay, bentonite clay, arrowroot powder, and sodium bicarbonate separately to remove clumps.
- Combine all dry powders in a large mixing bowl. Whisk thoroughly until fully uniform.
- Add dendritic salt and zinc oxide. Mix carefully to avoid airborne dust.
- Add essential oil dropwise while whisking continuously to prevent clumping.
- Sift mixture one final time and transfer to an airtight shaker or pump bottle.
- Preservation: Not required (anhydrous formula).
- Shelf Life: 12–24 months when kept dry.
- Oil Control System: Kaolin + bentonite + zinc oxide for enhanced absorption.
- Texture Modifier: Dendritic salt improves flow and reduces clumping.
